THE ASK
The NHL unveiled its groundbreaking league-wide jersey initiative, aptly named "Reverse-Retro." In a remarkable collaboration with Adidas Hockey, our team embraced the challenge of creating a jersey that beautifully paid homage to the storied past while seamlessly blending it with our team's current branding.
RESULT
Acting as the Lead Designer for this project, I drew inspiration from the original '98 sweaters, worn during our beloved Preds' inaugural season, we set out to craft a design that exudes nostalgia and honors our short but successful history. Key elements, such as the striking silver arm striping and the iconic fossil sabertooth patch, were meticulously incorporated to ignite fond memories among fans.
Throughout this creative journey, we remained true to the Preds' dominance as a primarily gold team in the league, ensuring our colors shone with unparalleled brilliance on the ice. The end result? A jersey that symbolizes our unwavering passion for the sport, our city, and our cherished traditions, making it a timeless addition to our team's legacy.
